Online Jobs University
A lot of people are starting to discover the benefits of working from home. Nowadays when you say work at home jobs, it has become synonymous to virtual assistant jobs.
Virtual assistants are people who provide services using the Internet as a medium. Any job that uses the Internet without having to go to an office, these are virtual assistant jobs.
Sounds exciting? Of course! But then a lot of people who venture into this get disappointed as they don't know where and how to start. Questions like where can I find a home based job or how much salary should I ask for always leave people in distress. It's hard to find answers.
Online Jobs University is a venue for people who want to get started. This site will answer all your questions. It has a free orientation program then it also offers training, which you have to pay for. Anything and everything about virtual assistant jobs or home based job, you'll find on this site.
I really encourage people, especially online English teachers, to start thinking about finding other means of income. Students come and go so can be a part time virtual assistant to augment your current income as a home based online English teacher.
Follow Online Jobs University's Facebook Page if you have questions. There will be people there to help you in any way they can.

Rea Yadao's Tips
Rea Yadao, Superstar VA, shared some tips for home based freelancers. These tips are applicable not just to virtual assistants but online teachers as well.
Items 3 and 4 are especially important to online teachers. I know some teachers are pulling down their rates because of competition. I had to start from scratch and my rate was pretty low then but once I established my reputation, I was able to command my rates.
Please visit Rea's site when you have the chance. You may learn a thing or two from her.

Re-posting: RemoteStaff
RemoteStaff is a company that employs homebased workers. I think the main office is in Australia that's why most of their clients are Australians, but they do have clients from US and other countries as well. I would think that the home based jobs are mostly outsourcing jobs.
I have heard a lot of things about the company, mostly positive. The company is legit. I think they have set standards for their applicants. From what I observed through their Facebook fan page, even though most of their people telecommute, they have frequent announcements like birthdays and such. They also welcome new hires to their company.
They usually announce their home based jobs on their site or their fanpage. They also have officebased jobs, I guess this for an internal position.
For more information on the online jobs they offer, go to their website or visit their fan page.
***
I have re-posted this blog because RemoteStaff is continuously looking for home based workers. I highly recommend this site.

Make Money Doing Short Tasks
I was bored today so I looked for other means of making home based income. I discovered and easy way to make money through another work at home job called, ShortTask.com. It's similar to those boards where you do jobs for other people and you get paid by the hour or by fixed rate.
ShortTask is in a way similar to those sites except that you don't need to bid on jobs and that you are only required to do small or short tasks. These tasks include posting a blog comment, posting a blog, creating documents, etc. Some tasks are really short while others may require a couple of hours to complete. Payment for a task can be as low as 10 cents or as high as $1.50 (for longer tasks).
I tried one task but I still have to see if I'll get paid for it. Good luck to me!
