Make Money Doing Short Tasks

I was bored today so I looked for other means of making home based income. I discovered and easy way to make money through another work at home job called, ShortTask.com. It's similar to those boards where you do jobs for other people and you get paid by the hour or by fixed rate.

ShortTask is in a way similar to those sites except that you don't need to bid on jobs and that you are only required to do small or short tasks. These tasks include posting a blog comment, posting a blog, creating documents, etc. Some tasks are really short while others may require a couple of hours to complete. Payment for a task can be as low as 10 cents or as high as $1.50 (for longer tasks).

I tried one task but I still have to see if I'll get paid for it. Good luck to me!

For US Telecommuters

This blog is mostly for Filipinos in the Philippines who are considering working at home or looking for extra income. I have some relatives and friends in the US who are asking about homebased work.

Staffcentrix's Rat Race Rebellion is a site that is dedicated to US telecommuters, most specially spouses of US Military personnel. There are some information here that can be useful to people outside of the US as well.

I tried signing up for an account at LiveOps. I discovered during the course of the agent test that I'm not eligible because I am not in the US.

Good luck to all who seek to work at home!

Big Buck$ Avenue: Virtual Workers Social Network...

I just discovered Big Buck$ Avenue. It says that it's a virtual social network. It posts job opportunities and I think this group hires people.

Visit Big Buck$ Avenue

I was actually browsing through Craigslist when I saw a post on a homebased Customer Service Representative job so I followed instructions. I got to the site and saw that they are looking for an online English Tutor. I applied the same day and got a response in less than 24 hours. An interview was set up the next day. The interviewer, Miss Shai was so nice and pleasant that I just wanted to work for her team. It's so refreshing to encounter someone really nice.

I have encountered people who lack, no, people WHO DO NOT HAVE COMMON COURTESY, and feel that they have the right to be rude to anyone who they think are beneath them. Sheesh.

For more information go to Big Buck$ Avenue, or visit their other site.

PayPal

One of the things that homebased workers need to take into consideration is payment method. Although there are about a thousand of acceptable and convenient payment methods, I think using PayPal is the most popular.

Years ago, I thought PayPal was only used for paying for stuff bought online like Ebay transactions. PayPal has expanded its services and markets and a lot of transactions can be made through PayPal. I would like to recommend telecommuters to have a PayPal account. It's easy and convenient to use.

I'm sure some Filipinos are skeptical to use PayPal. They probably think it would be hard to withdraw funds or fees are big. The fees are reasonable, just make sure you do not make a mistake in adding your bank account information.

For transactions of at least P7,000, there is no fee or charge. For transactions below this amount, a P50 fee will be charged to your account. This is not bad at all. If you make a mistake in entering your bank information and then try to withdraw, you will be charged P250 when you try to withdraw.

My Aunt has been using PayPal for quite some time now. She recommends using Union Bank's Eon card. It's a debit card that can be used to link your PayPal account to. There is an annual fee for the use of the card which is P350. This means you can link your account to this debit card instead of linking it to your savings account or having to open a savings account. Not bad at all. For more information on how to use the Union Bank Eon card visit the guide to using your UnionBank account to withdraw funds from your PayPal account.

If you have an existing account but you do not know your bank code, visit this page where I found mine. Visit Pinoy Money Talk's complete list of PayPal bank codes.

Create your PayPal account now.

oDesk

oDesk was already mentioned to me by a friend. I went to Girl Talk and I found that oDesk is quite popular with some of the posters. I saw a lot of good feedback from those who have been working at oDesk for some time.

Here are the details:

oDesk is an online staffing marketplace and management platform that provides a convenient way to hire, manage, and pay individuals no matter where they are located. Hiring managers can post jobs and hire from thousands of ranked and certified service providers for time-based work or fixed-price projects. oDesk tools empower users to manage providers as if they were in the same office, and verify and pay only for actual work performed.

Academic Writing and Research

Academia-Research is a freelance writing service company that is dedicated to professional research and writing. They support customers in academia who require customer-specific essays and other written documents. All work is prepared according to generally accepted editorial and style standards used in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

Academia-Research was recommended to me by a relative who heard about this through a friend. I checked the site, submitted the form and got a response in less than a week. I had to pass a sample research/essay project. It took a while for them to give me an answer. I passed the screening process after waiting a while. Upon logging into their system, I was overwhelmed by the topics that required research. I used to write for Accurate Essays and I can say my assignments were easier there.

The system of Academia-Research kept sending me jobs that I did not request for. The first time I got a job order, I finished that night. When I logged back in to submit my work, there was no option for me to send it back. I had to call customer support about this. It turned out the job was not mine, their system sent it to me by mistake. Sheesh! After losing hours of sleep over that esssay, they tell me I was not supposed to get it.

Days later, I kept getting job orders that were not mine. I had the option to put my profile on hold so I would not have to do any jobs till I become active again. Nevertheless I still kept getting job orders after the tweak. I decided to cancel my profile so I would not get anymore orders.

The nature of this job requires a lot of research and resources. Those interested may visit Academia-Research, follow the instructions for application.

Good luck.
