  1. is it wrong to be a teacher in more than one company? I wanted to apply to almost all of the job postings i see online. I mean I wanted to work to atleast 2 online teaching company, or more as long as my schedule permits. As what I have said in my other comment, I want to teach homebased, full time.

  2. Hi Clarisse. Nothing wrong with that in fact I recommend you do that. However, just be mindful of your schedules. You don't want your time to get messed up because you have too many open schedules.

    Good luck!

  4. Hello Aethna. I suggest you prepare your webcam and your self (how you look, your surroundings) for the interview. They just want to see how you are on cam, how you carry yourself, how you speak. Try not to use a fake "accent" as they know you're faking it. Just relax and do your best.

  7. Hi fionski, I've been interviewed yesterday "initial" until I reach the mock call for the 51Talk. However the interviewee told me that he will interview me again tonight the same time yesterday, however when I logged-in into my skype she was online at first however she was gone after a couple of minutes, I don't know what happened. I dont know if skype is down this time or I dont know her reason at all...what do you think? is there anyone who applied in 51talk who experienced this? please let me know. Thank you.

    1. Hi maranatha rallos. I would immediately leave a message on Skype so my message would have a time stamp as proof that I was online at the appointed time. I would also send an email to them to ask them if the interview would push through.

Maybe there's just a misunderstanding with the interview schedule.

      Good luck!

    1. Hi Maria May. Do you theit Skype ID? If you do, make sure you go online 10 minutes before your interview. 3 minutes before the time, send a message saying you are ready for your interview. Ask if they would like to be called.
Don't forget to prepare your self for the interview: your appearance and background. They may ask to show yourself on cam.
      Goodluck!

  10. Hello Ms Fiona. I don't have an experience on online teaching except for chatting with friends on Skype, but I've been into ESL man to man teaching for Koreans since 2006. I'm 49, though many thought I look younger than my age, but am I still qualified? I'm really interested to try this home-based online teaching although this is really new to me and I don't have any idea about the interview/employment process. Is the interviewer going to ask me for a demo?

    1. Hi Lyn, sorry for the delayed response. I'm not affiliated with the company nor have I applied. However, it pays to be prepared. From what I know, most online teaching companies will require a demo.
